The Curta

The Curta is a hand-cranked mechanical calculator designed by Curt Herzstark in the 1930s. You can read more about it at curta.org and on wikipedia. This is the system that I provide to students who forget to bring their laptop computer. However, you're certainly free to play with it should you feel the need to suddenly go "old school."
